青少年擔任籃球賽義工感言 Matthew Rothmann

I ended up volunteering to help the CCACC run their basketball tournament in the Fall by working with the game clock, the score book, and the film videos camera.

At first glance, I did not think that this service would have been beneficial to me. However, I was there for eight Saturdays. I had lots of fun working with others, and watching players play basketball every Saturday. At the end of each game, some teams would take photos of score book pages about their players’ scoring and fouls.

Those teams benefitted from these services since they were able to evaluate their games and then reflect on how they would bounce back from a loss, or how they would continue their ways of winning based on my work on the game clock and/or score book.

This experience helped me learning about being open-minded and trying new things and listening to other ideas. After volunteering in helping out in the CCACC basketball tournament, I have positive experiences and figured out that having an open-mind can help me in the future. I have not learned anything in school that connects to this experience. However, if anything, it slightly does relate to math because I worked with numbers using the game clock and score book.
