“17 Summers” Exhibit features Gallery 322 at Kentlands Mansion

Gaithersburg, MD – (July 9, 2018) Arts on the Green presents “17 Summers,” an exhibit featuring works that evoke summers past and present by members of Gallery 322. The exhibit runs July 13 through September 4, 2018, at Kentlands Mansion. The public is invited to meet the artists at a free reception on Thursday, July 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Gallery 322, located in the heart of historic downtown Frederick, specializes in contemporary representational art by a select group of local artists with regional reputations. Since 2009, the Gallery has shown figurative, still life, sculpture, and landscape works, many which reflect the beauty of the Maryland landscape.

The name of the exhibit, “17 Summers,” was inspired by the romantic setting of Kentlands Mansion, especially during the summer wedding season, summer love as a 17-year-old, raising children for 17 summers, and for many of the artists, spending at least 17 summers working on their art. Featured artists include Michael Douglas Jones, Jackie Jouvenal, Jan Kaufman, Linda Kirvan, Ann Schaefer, Russell Schofield, Anne Gibson Snyder, Roberta Staat, and Homer Yost.

Located at 320 Kent Square Road, the Mansion Gallery offers the opportunity to view art in the beautiful, timeless setting of this historic estate. Due to frequent rentals for private events, viewing hours are Monday through Friday by appointment only. Please call the Mansion at 301-258-6425 prior to your visit.

Please note that most of the artwork is for sale and all images are copyrighted by the artists. For more information, please contact Shellie Williams at 301-258-6394, e-mail, or visit Kentlands Mansion at
