Shop Unique Gifts & Seasonal Produce at Holiday Market on December 8


Gaithersburg, MD (November 19, 2018) Take your holiday shopping outdoors and discover unique gifts at the Holiday Market at the Main Street Farmers & Artists Market on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in and surrounding the Pavilion at 301 Main Street (one block off of Kentlands Boulevard in Kentlands). Enjoy fresh seasonal produce, glass blowing demonstrations, live holiday music with the Gaithersburg Chorus, visits with Frosty, Rudolph, Elmo, and Cookie Monster, and free giveaways for children. Free gift wrapping will be available. In the event of severe weather, the market will not open.


Shoppers will find knitted and crocheted scarves, hats, throws, and shawls, acrylic and watercolor paintings, holiday greeting cards, blown glass art, candles, soaps, sugar scrubs, body butters, body balms, lip balms, handmade ottomans, patchwork quilts, pillows, an array of handcrafted jewelry, hand-painted crab bushel lids, ornaments, home & holiday décor, wreaths, garlands, cut flowers and house plants.


Food items include cakes, pies, decorated holiday cookies, artisanal chocolates, apple candy, pralines, pastries, breads, locally grown winter vegetables and fruits, jellies and jams, honey, apple butter, apple cider, teas and spices, roasted and hot brewed coffees, small batch bourbon, whiskey, rum and flavored whiskey, familiar and exotic meats (including lamb, goat, chicken, steaks, duck, sausages, bacon and turkey bacon), eggs, crab cakes, seafood spreads, crepes, jarred vegetables and relishes, soups and empanadas.


The Main Street Farmers & Artists Market is open year round. Main Street Farmers are joined by purveyors of fresh prepared foods, potted plants and cut flowers, and local artists and craftspeople with unique handcrafted items.
