CCACC Volleyball Summer Camps

Do your kids enjoy sports? Do they enjoy volleyball? Are they bored over the summer? Join CCACC's Volleyball Summer Camp for 4 days of fun and excitement where they can learn volleyball skills and make new friends. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity for them to create lasting summer memories.

The non-profit organization Chinese Culture and Community Service Center, Inc. (CCACC) has been serving the local community since 1982. It provides a large array or programs and services, including Adult Day Healthcare Center, Home Care, Pan Asian Volunteer Health Clinic, Art Gallery, Chinese school for non-Chinese speaking families, After School Enrichment Program, and nearly 30 clubs with various cultural, sports and social programs. Among them is a volleyball program that has been training local students for last 20 some years.

Olympic Gold Medalist Xiaolan Zhou

The main coach, Joy Xiao-lan Zhou, was a 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist (together with the famous player/coach Ping Lang), and was a major player during the early 1980s when Chinese Women volleyball teams dominated in the world. She has been the resident volleyball coach for CCACC since 1995 and has trained hundreds of local students to help them on both school and local teams.

The regular volleyball clinics are held weekly on Friday night and all-day Saturday during the school year at various MCPS school locations. There are 6 clinics and 5 levels for junior/senior high school students with different skill levels. During the summer, it usually has two 4-day camps in June and August. This year the dates and locations have now been set as follows:

June camp (Session I):  6/20 (Thursday) – 6/24 (Sunday)   9 AM – 4 PM

August camp (Session II):  7/31 (Wednesday) – 8/3 (Saturday)  9 AM – 4 PM
Location: Redland MS (6505 Muncaster Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20855)
