The Art of Astrophotography by Chao Wang

Stephen Hawking once said “My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all. ”Photographer Chao Wang revealed his exhibit “The Art of Astrophotography” at the CCACC Art Gallery and gave a seminar on the art on October 5. The exhibition will be up from October 5-November 9.

Chao Wang, a lover of astrophotography, is displaying 20 pieces of art for the next month at CCACC. From the deep space and celestial bodies to the sun, moon, stars, and planets, the diversity of images in this exhibition brings out the resplendent, ever-changing nature of the universe. This exhibition can be considered one of the first Asian astrophotography exhibitions in the Greater Washington area in recent years.

In his seminar “The Dazzling Night Sky – Crossing Space and Time to Meet A You from a Thousand Years Past” Chao Wang shared his journey in chasing after the stars, as well as his perseverance and persistence for the sake of capturing the mesmerizing colors of space. Chao Wang states that people are but small parts of this vast universe. In this world we know, there exists infinite unknown factors, and as long as we maintain a dedication to pursuing the unknown we can fulfill our dreams.
